Luxurious En-suite

After evaluating the space, we wanted to enhance the feeling of openness, afford free passage and create more light as the room is low on natural daylight. We wanted to centre the design on the two freestanding marble basins, becoming a showpiece in the room with instant visual impact. By doing so, we made way for the walk in shower area and additional heated ladder rail for improved ergonomics. Underpinning the classic and elegant styling, the two marble vein freestanding basins were each enriched by a full height bespoke mirror. Suspended from the wall, each mirror formed a shadow gap which I illuminated using strategic LED lighting for extra characterisation. To echo the neutral colour story and provide an element of contrast, we colour-matched the dark marble veining which became a waterproofed wallpapered centrepiece and defines the basins. The shower walls with clear 10mm glass avoided the need for stud walls and significantly, maximise light and the feeling of space: a hidden storage nook to the right of the shower makes space for essential toiletries. Impressing fluidity but not detracting from the feature basins, the large light Carrara porcelain tile is on the floor, shower wall and Original Cotswold stone deep window and sills. To enhance the texture of the back shower wall, we herringboned the tile to create a classic chevron pattern.
