Your website enquiry
Our consultation form asks for your name, email address, mobile number, preferred service and showroom, and a description of your project. You can also tell us how you first heard about us. When you submit it, our website saves your enquiry in a restricted lead register and sends a notification to the showroom team through the hosting server’s mail service, with a copy to Softdata, our website and marketing partner. You do not need an email application. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically book an appointment.
When you send an enquiry, the information you provide is used to respond, discuss your requirements and arrange the next steps. Please include only information relevant to your project and avoid sending sensitive personal information.
Why we use your information
We use enquiry and project information to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to fulfil an agreed contract, and where necessary for legitimate business purposes such as answering questions and keeping appropriate correspondence. We also retain records where required by law. Where processing depends on your consent, you can withdraw that consent.
Email marketing — your choice
The consultation form does not subscribe you to email marketing. We will use your details to respond to your enquiry. Any separate email marketing subscription requires its own choice; a previous subscription is not changed by sending a consultation enquiry.
You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by using the unsubscribe option in a marketing email or contacting info@obsidian-interiors.co.uk. We may keep a record of your preference to make sure it is respected. Email marketing consent does not authorise website tracking.
Form security
Our hosting service, 20i, processes form requests to deliver the enquiry and protect the website. A necessary session cookie protects submissions, and short-lived rate-limit records help reduce spam. These records do not contain the text of your enquiry. Enquiry details and consent choices are recorded in the private lead register and sent to the team by email. The register uses encrypted storage and restricted staff accounts. Source information, internal notes, assignments and progress are used to handle your enquiry and review marketing effectiveness. Softdata operates this system for Obsidian Interiors.
Project and customer records
A project may require your contact details, property or delivery address, specification and order information. Necessary details may be shared with suppliers or service providers involved in fulfilling the agreed work, and with business systems providers supporting the handling of records. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. Please ask the team if you need details of the recipients involved in your particular project.
Unconverted enquiries are reviewed after six months and deleted by 12 months after the last meaningful contact unless a documented active opportunity or other justified obligation requires longer retention. Raw identifiable source information is normally removed after 90 days; necessary evidence for an active enquiry may be retained under a documented exception. Necessary transaction and commission evidence is retained for six years after the final project receipt. Mailbox copies and backups are subject to the applicable retention process. Cookies and local storage
Optional analytics, session replay and Google Maps require your choices in our privacy settings. If you allow analytics and enquiry-source measurement, we may remember your initial landing page, referral website, campaign labels and subsequent enquiry visit for up to 90 days. The enquiry records these observations alongside your optional discovery answer; they do not establish a complete browsing history or reliably identify you across devices. We do not save form contents in browser storage. You can decline tracking and still send an enquiry. See the cookie policyfor the current tools, storage and withdrawal controls.
With analytics permission, our own website also records page views, consultation-button, telephone-link and email-link clicks, and form activity to produce daily, weekly and monthly reports. These counts do not establish that a call connected or an email was sent. A random tab-session reference groups consented visits; it is not linked to your enquiry identity. We do not include your form contents, contact details or full URL query strings in these activity records. Event references and daily session hashes are removed after 90 days; aggregate counts contain no visitor identifiers and can be retained for longer-term reporting.
Technical information such as an IP address and requested page may be processed by the website hosting service when delivering pages and maintaining security. Links to external services, including map directions and social media, take you to services governed by their own privacy notices. Google receives connection information only when you allow the embedded map to load; see the cookie policy for details.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request erasure or restriction, object to processing, and request portability of information you have provided. Some rights are subject to conditions or exceptions. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
